The Best of RAC
I would like to take a moment to talk about my favorite band of all time. I must add that I do not throw this superlative around very often, so when I say that RAC is my favorite band, I mean that quite literally. It is hard to choose what qualifies as “The Best of RAC”. I would include all of their songs, but that would defeat the purpose of this post. This post is meant to showcase not only the diversity of this “remix artist collective”, but also demonstrate the raw music talent of Andre, Andrew, and Liz. Now, many music scholars think that remixes not only hurt the music industry, but also don’t take as much talent to produce than the original song. These music scholars are dead wrong. RAC has demonstrated how much artistic vision goes into creating one of their remixes, while still respecting the original artist and his creative rights. RAC is continuing to come out with new music, so I have a feeling we will be adding to this list for a long time coming. Enjoy!
Alt-J – Breezeblocks (NICITA Remix)
Make no mistake, we at JACKSELICITY love Alt-J. Their dynamic and unique sound lends itself very easily to a multitude of lovely remixes. We have posted a #hashtag remix of an Alt-J song before, but this new edit by NICITA really nails it. The percussion is especially pleasing to my eardrums, banging around playfully while Joe Newman croons.
